Now Rome 2 is a new version to a old classic that is Rome 1 ( My very first total war game which I fell inlove with for the very first hour I played as the Brutii. The game was magnificent, diplomacy, economy, military and public opinion. I had realism, something I found lacking at other types of strategy games. Rome 2 takes us back Romes rise to power, giving us an option to either play as this major Historical nation, rising it from the small Italian republic to a whole Dominating European empire, or play any other nation that took a fair share in history. Creating an empire and bringing an end to Rome. Now I had this game during its first month of launch and it had issues- bugs, unballanced factions, strange mechanics, cheating AI and horrible diplomacy options. At no way I could play this game without inflicting myself a massive headache, yet I still tried, after creating a Seubi empire I stopped playing. Months later the game was fixed in a way that you could experience small amount of bugs and glitches, yet still the AI was dumb as hell, battles would last for a minute (three if you made horrible tactical decisions) and diplomacy was still worthless as any nation could never want to trade with you for some bizzard reason. No, I am not selling maimed slaves damn you!. Alas, many months later the game reached the Emperor's Edition, not only fixing the game, but also improving its overall gameplay: As the Selucids, you won't have your vassals declare a massive war over you. Buildings would give lesser public order penalties, lesser factions with one province won't spawn five full stacks, and Major factions are more than likely to survive and reach the power they should.
