A Pokémon League provides a nearby place for you to get together with other fans of both the Pokémon Trading Card Game and the Pokémon video games, and have some fun. Using your own cards and Pokémon video games, you can play, trade, and even earn cool prizes! The best part is that you can do all this with other Pokémon players who love collecting and playing just as much as you do. Even if you don’t know all the rules of the game, at a League you can learn game basics and, in no time, perfect your strategy! Joining a League is the best way to hone your skills to compete in Pokémon tournaments, from League Challenges all the way up to the World Championships. Leagues are held in safe public locations, such as game stores, community centers, or libraries, and are run by official League organizers. Find a Pokémon League near you and start playing! 2015 League Cycle: Hoenn Gym Challenge The League cycle is divided into eight seasons, each of which lasts about five weeks with a theme matching the Gyms featured in the new Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video games for the Nintendo 3 DS family of systems. Most Leagues meet once a week for three to four hours. When each season begins, you’ll receive a card like the one below: As you participate in League events, you’ll use this card to keep track of your League matches. If you play in enough matches and track them on your scorecard, you’ll earn special code cards for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online! And, if you meet more specific goals, you can even earn exclusive awards! Participation includes playing Pokémon TCG games, playing Pokémon video game matches, completing activities, and trading cards. Need more information? Visit our League FAQ. posted on September 13, 2011 by Dave Le Clair Welcome to another installment of Make Use Of Gaming, where we take a look at an interesting topic in the video game world for you to make use of. This week I will be talking about Pokemon, and why the Pokemon games are not just child’s play. People tend to think of Pokemon as being just for kids, but as I have mentioned in a previous article about Pokemon websites, I respectfully disagree. I started playing Pokemon when the first handheld games came out for the original Game Boy. I remember it being one of the very first video games that I sunk hundreds of hours into, and I remember loving every second of it. Flash forward to today, and I am 24 years old. Pokemon Black and White have come to market recently, and while the changes to the games have been incremental, I still find myself with over 100 hours in play time in the new ones. There is not a single other video game franchise that I have come back to as much as Pokemon. The Difficulty Of The Game Pokemon has always been able to strike the perfect balance to be easy enough for a child to play, and yet deep and challenging enough for an adult such as myself to enjoy. Right from the introduction of the game, it is geared to teach you how to play, while actually letting you play at the same time. The very early stages of the games consist of easy battles designed to get you used to the way the game plays, but as the game progresses the battles start to get more and more challenging. Kids can have fun running around the world and collecting Pokemon and even if the very end of the game is too challenging for them it does not matter, because they will be having so much fun playing either way. The Hidden Depth There is a dirty secret underground world to Pokemon that most players will never even bother to explore. This is the competitive Pokemon scene. In this world the game is not.
greenguy09 1 Pokemon Soul Silver Best Pokemon Almost all Pokemon In Here I like emerald two but for DS this is the best you can choose totodile chikorita and cindaquil you can get torchik treeko and mudkip from steven and a lot of story you can get a lot of legendary's like Lugia, Ho- Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Suicune, Raikou, Entei, Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, Mewtwo, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Latios, Latias and some psuedo- Legendary Pokemon Like Dragonite, Tyranitar, Garchomp, Salamence, Metagross they have ability's Like Legendary Salamence is my favorite So Strong And Dragonite So Fast Same as Garchomp Tryranitar High on definitely and Atack so SOUL SILVER for the win= For The Win This is one of the best games I've ever played in my pokemon history. I even have a friend that plays pokemon pearl so ima going to complete the pokedex in some days. The songs are awesome, the gb sound thing is col, and has got one of the best grapphics I've ever EVER SEEN! Best Pokemon game because it wasn't so easy, graphics are awesome, storyline is awesome, and it is a prequel to Pokemon Black or White which are awesome games also. What makes this game the best is because of the variety of LEGENDARY & RARE Pokemon's you're able to catch throughout the game & even when you beat the game there is so much more you can still do. It is HANDS DOWN the best game with its opposite Heartgold. I love this game! Finally a game where you can walk around win your Pokemon everywhere! Ha Ash Ketchum! Not so special now! V55 Comments 2 Pokemon Platinum It's just way to epic for words. You've got the reverse world, you're able to capture Giratina, Dialga, and Palkia. Team Galactic has more to do with the story so you can beat the hell out of a bunch of grunts. And you can find Pokemon from both diamond and pearl. In my opinion, this game should be ranked higher than five. - lugiafan2000 I do like.
